Situation
A game development studio was negotiating a publishing agreement with a foreign partner and wanted assurance that the milestone and settlement provisions would not backfire if production was delayed.
Action
I reviewed the draft agreement for scheduling and licensing clauses, proposed specific changes and supported the client at the negotiating table through to the final paragraph.
Outcome
We negotiated terms protecting the studio against delays on the partner's side, allowing the project to launch as planned.
